
Sci-Bono Discovery Centre an independent Section 21 Company in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Education, promotes maths science and technology literacy for learners, educators and the public by offering hands-on experience using a wide variety of interactive exhibits, within certain themes and focus areas. Sci-Bono Discovery Centre is being developed at the Electric Workshop in Newtown, Johannesburg. Newtown is a City Improvement District and is a project of the Gauteng Province’s Blue-IQ project.
Sci-Bono is seeking to expand its base of interactive exhibit design and / or manufacturer suppliers, and hereby invites interested parties to forward Statements of Interest to Sci-Bono Discovery Centre.
Interactive exhibits require creative design to demonstrate scientific principles at work, both in theory and in society and to translate these into exciting robust and durable interactive hands-on exhibits and learning experiences.
Selected parties will be invited to a briefing session, after which design and/or manufacture proposals for interactive exhibits will be requested.
Statements of Interest, are to include:
Name of organisation;
Legal Status of organisation ((Pty) Ltd; cc; partnership; sole proprietor etc.);
Location and address of organisation;
Black Empowerment status of organisation, and staff schedule;
Statement on areas of interest in relation to interactive exhibit design and/or manufacture;
References, descriptions and value of previous work and projects;
